Rekeying After a Move or a Lost Key
When you buy a home, you have no way of knowing how many copies of the old key are still out there. Rekeying changes the pins inside your existing lock cylinders so the old keys stop working and new keys take over. You keep the hardware you already have, and you can have every exterior door set to one key.
Rekeying also makes sense after a roommate moves out, a contractor finishes a project, or a key goes missing.
Locks, Deadbolts and Smart Locks
If your hardware is worn, corroded by salt air, or just not secure enough, we can install new knobs, levers, single- or double-cylinder deadbolts, and keypad or smart locks. We check the strike plate and door alignment so the new lock actually latches and the bolt fully engages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is rekeying cheaper than replacing locks?
In most cases rekeying costs less, because you keep your existing hardware and we only change the internal pins. We will tell you if a lock is too worn to be worth rekeying.
Can all my doors use one key?
Usually yes, as long as the locks share a compatible keyway. If they don’t, we can recommend matching hardware.
Are you open around the clock?
No. We work Monday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm, and we are closed Sunday. Call 727-648-6013 during business hours to schedule.
